Looting Is Here

San Leandro was hit hard by looters last night. Even at our house you could hear sirens, explosions, and helicopters all night. Now we have a curfew in San Leandro from 6pm to 5am through 6/8.

I came to check on my office and it was untouched. But the CVS in the plaza next door wasn't so lucky.

How does this expression of anger get us the results we are after? Will it give birth to more just world? I'm not so sure.

What's going on out there is justifiable anger at oppression, systemic racism, inequality, and murder. Anger is useful to provide a catalyst for change. What's important to consider is how that anger is used. Is it used in ways that bring about the changes you need?
