Have you ever had someone cheat on you and leave you for someone else? It can rip you up inside. Has it ever gotten to the point where you just can't let go of the resentment, especially if that person is happy without you in their new life?
It's important to consider that holding onto that resentment allows the other person to have power over you. The anger you feel and the disgust won't allow you to be free of that person and able to pursue your own happiness.
