Happy Mother's Day to all mothers!
This Mother's Day is one of the most peculiar I've experienced. It's Mother's Day during a pandemic. Perhaps with physical distancing you can't see your mother because you want to keep her safe. Perhaps you are lucky enough to have your mother living with you. Perhaps your mother has passed away. No matter your circumstances, it's still important to mark this day.
After having lost my father 14 years ago as of yesterday, I've come to appreciate having my mother still even more. The first Mother's Day after he died was difficult and somehow we still managed to celebrate Mom. Every year it gets a little easier but this day will never be the same. It's bittersweet.
Whatever you do today to remember your mothers and to celebrate your mothers, I hope you have a good day. Stay safe and stay well.
